Lotus Seed Planting Guide

Lotus Seed Planting Guide 🌸

Prepare the Container 🏺
Choose a wide, shallow container with enough space for the lotus roots to grow. A shallow water garden or a pond is ideal. Make sure the container has drainage holes.

Soak the Lotus Seeds 💧
Place the lotus seeds in warm water and let them soak for 24-48 hours to soften their outer shell. This helps the seed start to sprout.

Plant the Seed 🌱
After soaking, gently scrape the outer shell of the seed to reveal the white inner seed. Place the seed in the container, just below the surface of the water, with the pointed end facing down.

Fill with Water 💦
Fill the container with water until it covers the seeds by about 2-4 inches. Make sure the container is in a warm spot with plenty of sunlight.

Provide Sunlight ☀️
Lotus plants need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily to thrive. Choose a location with lots of sun, or place the container outside if possible.

Maintain Water Level 💧
Keep the water level consistent. As the lotus grows, you may need to add more water to maintain the proper depth.

Watch for Growth 🌿
In 1-2 weeks, you should see the first signs of growth. Tiny green shoots will emerge from the water. As the plant grows, its leaves will float on the surface, and beautiful flowers will bloom in a few months.

Care Tips
Ensure the water remains clean and free of debris. Fertilize once a month with a water plant fertilizer to encourage healthy growth.
